What is Home Automation?

So you're starting to hear the buzz about "home automation," but what does that even mean? Well, it has a lot to do with home security, but it actually represents a much larger revolution too. Basically, it means that every existing electronic device in your home/office building/whatever-- such as heating/air, lights, garage doors, coffee makers, lawn watering systems... down to the last outlet can now be controlled and monitored from your smart phone, tablet, work computer- wherever you have Internet.
